On Wednesday the 7th of March our transition year group went down to Cork to Fota wildlife park. We left the school around 7:30 in the morning and got there just after 10. When we got there they split us into two groups and put into two different rooms and played a couple of quick games. Then we went outside and were brought back behind the scenes to see how the animals were fed and what they were fed. They also brought us up close to the giraffes and then we were given a tour of the park. In the tour of the park we got to see all the different animals that they had there and they told us the methods they used to feed them so that the would keep the animals fully healthy. For example the feed the cheetah by attaching meat on a rope kind of like a zip-line so that the cheetah would have to work for his food. Some days the cheetah would not get fed if he didn't catch the food.
